Por otro lado, se asegura que el protagonismo recaiga en el propio paciente, no en el terapeuta, eliminando así cualquier tipo de tentación mesiánica por parte del profesional. Como consecuencia, asesor y asesorado emprenden una búsqueda que les lleva a desarrollar un diálogo comprometido, emocionalmente intenso y de curso impredecible.
